01Scope and purposes
Takayoshi Iwasaki handles information related to Cuvel SQL, db.cuvel.net, inquiries and purchases as necessary to provide services, answer questions, investigate issues, operate securely, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
02Connections and local information
Connection details, SQL and credentials are used to communicate with the database or SSH server you select, according to your actions. Settings and display state are stored locally. If you choose to save passwords, the OS credential store is used separately from ordinary settings. Import and export read or write selected files. This is not a cloud service holding your databases. Connected services also have their own administrators’ policies.
03Personal data in databases and communication destinations
The app may access names, email addresses and other personal data in databases or import files selected by you. It processes this data for operations you request, including viewing, searching, editing, SQL execution, import and export, using your chosen database/SSH servers and output files. The app has no feature that automatically sends database contents, SQL or connection passwords to the operator’s servers. Information you attach to a support request is handled separately for support. Transport protection depends on the connection settings and server; configure TLS or SSH appropriately.
04Managing stored information and Store purchases
You choose whether to save credentials. Deleting a connection from the saved connections list removes its settings and associated saved passwords and other credentials. It does not delete records in the source database or exported files. You control storage, sharing and deletion of output files. Access, correct or delete database personal data within your permissions, or contact its administrator. Microsoft Store purchase and payment information is handled under Microsoft’s policies. Sales and payment reports received by the operator are used as needed for delivery, accounting and support.
05Website and cookies
Browser language preferences and country codes supplied by the delivery server are used to choose a language. A manual choice is stored in the cuvel_db_lang cookie for about one year. You can delete or block it, but your choice may not be retained. Hosting providers may log IP addresses, User-Agent, URLs and timestamps. This website uses Google Analytics to understand usage and improve the site. Cookies and similar technologies may send information about pages viewed, referral sources, browsers and devices to Google. This measures website usage; it does not send database contents or connection passwords from the app. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its data practices. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on can disable analytics in your browser.
06Support, purchases and sharing
Reply addresses, messages and attachments are used to answer and investigate inquiries. Purchase contact details, transactions and payment results support delivery and refunds; payment data is handled by the provider identified at checkout. Do not send private keys, passwords or unnecessary customer data. Personal data is shared only with consent or as permitted by law. Hosting, email and payment processing may be outsourced as necessary; legally required measures apply to overseas processing too.
07Retention, safeguards and your rights
Information is kept for the periods necessary for its purposes, support, transactions and legal, accounting or security requirements, then appropriately deleted. Reasonable safeguards such as access restrictions are applied. Local settings and exported files remain under your control and may remain after uninstalling. You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information held by the operator under applicable law using the contact below; identity checks may be required. Contact the database administrator about data within a connected database.
